A map of the major landholders in Oselshire, Kaldor, identifying their holdings to show the wealth and weight of the great (and not so great) lords in this shire.
In coloration, I followed a somewhat other approach than my predecessors. I used the colors of the tenants-in chief [Kaldor 22] as bases (and the marks of the manor villages/towns stay in this color) and played with derivative colors for their vassals. E.g., all the lands belonging to the Earl of Osel and his underlings are shown in different shades of red. I used the color of Kaldor (purple) for the Royal Domain (instead of black), and yellow for the churches of Larani and Peoni (the beige of [Kaldor 22] being too near to the background for my eyes).
The map shows all lords with three or more manors. Furthermore, I distinguished between land under direct control and land that is enfeoffed to other lords (hatched), because the control over these two sorts is different. The map key shows the subinfeudation in several levels.
