Zaurial’s Townhouse

August 21, 2010

This article contains floor plans and a description for a nobleman’s large and luxurious townhouse in the city of Golotha, Rethem.  It also contains a separate description of the house’s master, Sir Zaurial Bisidril, nephew of the Agrikan Primate of Hârn, his retinue and household.  This allows the GM to re-use the townhouse in any city and with the occupants of his or her own choosing.  Sir Zaurial and his retinue can also be used separate from this location as NPC opponents or allies for any campaign in western Hârn.

Fortified Manor

August 12, 2010

A Harn Writer’s Guild production, this article describes a large, fortified manor house. It is unnamed and intended to be usable in any fantasy campaign. It is an example of the sort of manor house that might be found on a large, wealthy estate. The lord of such a manor is only one step below a baron and can afford to build a fine stone manor house, support a large household, and live in an impressive style. It may be a newly constructed manor in a dangerous frontier region where such strong defences are necessary or it might be an old, long-settled manor whose defences are now merely a reminder of days gone by.

The article includes floor plans of the manor house, description of the household, adventure hooks and Game Master (B&W) and Player (color) local area maps showing the manor and adjacent village.

Edino

August 6, 2010

Part 6 of 6 in the series Mineous

Edino guards a crossing of the Eryn River and plays an important role in the development of the surrounding area. Sheriff Crasel of Avandar, a loyal vassal of the Kandian crown, resides in the impressive fortifications of Caer Edino. Being the hundred moot of Daenshire, the town provides various specialized services to wide parts of the shire, and its position on the western bank of the Eryn allows its residents to prosper from both, land and river trade.

Besides maps and floorplans, the article provides extensive NPC stats, and complete HârnManor data. It is consistent with Kanday 2nd ed., but not with the map from the Kanday Electronic Atlas.

Gemela

August 3, 2010

Part 5 of 6 in the series Mineous

Gemela, located on the eastern bank of the Eryn and just opposite Edino Keep, is the home of Sir Arino of Delourne, Warden of Mimean Forest. Sir Arino is feared by his subjects for his cruelty and by the nobility for his scheming plots. On 26 pages, the article describes the village and the manor house. It provides a map, floor plans and HârnMaster game statistics for 24 locals.

Though the article conforms to the second edition of Kanday, it does not fit the local map of Edino, as provided in the Kanday Electronic Atlas.
