The download manager and counter that I’ve been using since the beginning of this site has been out of services for a few years now, and the creator of the plugin seems to have disappeared. Meh, I guess it happens. For a long time now I’ve been struggling to find a replacement that does what I want it to do and is currently maintained by the creator(s). I’ve finally found a replacement and will be gradually replacing all the download links to use the new plugin.
This will not mean the download counts are going to be reset; I can manually enter the existing download count for each file. But it will mean that if anyone has included links directly to the file, those links will no longer work. If you merely included a link to the page (which I prefer), then the links will still work.
I’m going to work through the downloads from beginning to end, and given there are currently around 250 files available for download, this will take some time, so please bear with me. Oh, and I’m going to change the little icon that’s always at the front of the blurb; instead of crossed arrows, it’ll be a quill.
