To all new members still in the red...

This is where new forum members can introduce themselves, tell us a bit about their roleplaying, the style of game they play, and anything else they want to share.

I've been roleplaying since the mid-1980s. Started with D&D, and then moved to several Palladium games (it's a crappy system, but the one I'm most familiar with). Along the way I've played 2300 AD and a few different games based on Fudge.

I bought the second edition of HarnWorld way back in 1990 or 1991 in the discount bin at the local hobby store, which was moving out of roleplaying products at the time. I was sufficiently interested that I picked up several other Harn related materials and HarnMaster, but never could quite convince enough of my players to give it a go (they disliked the notion of "low-magic fantasy").

I'm hoping to get a PBeM game going over the next few months.
let me know when you do

Hi

I've just come back to RPG after a break from games. Always loved Harn and the amazing details both as player and as GM. Always nice to find that the community is still alive.

I have posted intro content already.... Now a simple question....
I'm a long time tabletop player from WWII world.....Want to learn HARN and play...after learning I will engage others and teach them.....but first me...
My gaming friends now live 100 miles away.....Can I play somewhere ONLINE?
I have downloaded HARN POTTAGE 1.....Am looking at Page 16...As a real beginner....can I just focus on this wilderness settlement known as "HAVEN"? Thoughts...
Little difficult as a single player..... but I'm thinking I good begin to delve right in as a beginner gamemaster so I could use this setting to involve others....
I have 3 "pigeons" in mind....
Are there written down replays anywhere to learn from? So one can see play action proceed?

Back on the forums after a long hiatus. Guess I just can't lurk this time around. ( ;

Been playing games (mostly wargames and RPGs) since 1975 or so. I don't play exclusively in Harn (not even close), but I use it as a reference in one way or another for most any game I run. Looking forward to perusing the pages on the forum and mining all the wonderful information contained therein.

How long does it generally take to "get out of the red"? I've made a coupleposts, but they're still not showing and I have a big crimson user name staring back at me.

Not long at all. :D
Ok, let me get this straight. These guys come in, trash the place, slap Agrik & Larani around, and the most intelligible thing they said was "Zog!"?

Hey all. Just signing up. I learned about Harn...a bit over a year ago I think, so I'm still fairly new.

Hey, just wanted to post to make sure I didn't get removed. I have been absent from Harn for almost 20 years (since school years), my old GM got a hold of me the other day and invited me back. A bit rusty but looking forward to getting back into it and seeing what's new!

Hello everyone

I'm looking forward to exploring HarnWorld and getting to know everyone here. I'm especially interested in any info that can help me get a 5e campaign started in Orbaal.

Cheers,
Tom

Hello!
I've been gaming since the late 70's. I've played dozens of different systems over the eons. I was always aware of, and intrigued by Harn, but never tried it until recently for whatever reason. I'm quickly correcting that error.

I've been a fan of Harn since the late 80's, and started playing Harnmaster with HMC in the 90s :D

Same here. In the military at the time. Was introduced to Harn and Harnmaster by M.Cpl Keln. :)
