Hurricane Nate

#1 Post by zrayaan » Sun Oct 08, 2017 12:10 am

Looks like it's my turn in the barrel. Fortunately, after prepping for evacuations twice this Season we're pretty well prepared. But damn... if I didn't just buy several hundred dollars of groceries.

Anyway, may lose power. Shoot me a PM if you are on the coast.
Cheers, Konnel.

Thanks, but should be relatively mild. Might lose power if we end up east of the eye. We'd be in the Dark Ages for a day - no where near the level of Harvey Or Irma .
Cheers, Konnel.

Not on the coast but on the East Coast. We are expecting the remains of Nate here on Monday, we do need the rain badly. Haven't had any in three weeks so... Well fire danger from wildfires, etc. So come on Nate, we need you!

No significant damage. A few downed power lines caused significant service interruption though we never lost power. Some trailers lost. My property suffered roof damage, but otherwise came out fine.

Biloxi flooded on both sides. IDK if the king tide effected us, but flooding was more severe than I expected. Ocean Springs, where I am, benefits from extensive, intact wetlands so we a better prepared for it.
Cheers, Konnel.

Yes, glad you made it through the ordeal okay. We had our fun a few weeks back here in Central Florida, so I can understand what you've been through.
