Marriage of Andasin IV

#1 Post by rdelorme10 » Tue Sep 05, 2017 12:07 pm

One would suspect that the privy council of Kanday is actively looking for a suitable bide for their King. The house of Kand is very thin and the last thing the Kingdom can afford is a succession crisis. The Kingdom has a marriage to Melderyn; so the logical pace to look would be Kaldor. The royal house has a number of eligible females of good families: would a delegation be in order?

I'm sure suitable candidates from further afield would also be considered. Emelrene? Shorkyne? Trierzon?

Yes but Kaldor offers a potential ally in time of need. Further afield would not necessarily be beneficial militarily.

I believe canon mentions Dorthea Cassean.

But, if Kaldor is the preferred option, an interesting choice might be Enoriel Dariune. Just the right age ... 8)

I'd agree with canon that the Earl of Heroths daughter makes sense politically, to shore up support within the kingdom. That said, Anaflas is unwed and a political alliance with a foreign (Kaldoric) bride such as Enoriel is appealing.
Per Sir Veer.
