Located in the far south-western corner of the Kingdom of Kaldor, Chewintin Manor is ruled by a bailiff for the Earl of Balim, the powerful Troda Dariune. Isolated and badly ruled, the current bailiff is busy making Chewintin safe from Kath raids across the Kald River. Another wonderfully mapped and illustrated fan-work.

As at the beginning of 720TR, Kaldor lacks a port capable of handling ocean-going vessels. In fact, Kaldor lacks much of a coastline at all, let alone anything that would be useful as a port. What locations are even possible, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each of them?
Back in 2002, this problem for Kaldor was discussed on the HârnForum but nothing definite was decided. However, it got me thinking and I discussed the issue with N. Robin Crossby. The article you can download here is the result of that discussion. In no way is this official material, because the official ‘history’ of HârnWorld is written up to the beginning of 720TR, and at that point, Kaldor doesn’t have a port. So this is speculative, something that GMs could use in a campaign if they wish.

A Shower of Silver is a 24 page adventure set in the settlement of Jedes (qv), in south western Kaldor. The scenario is designed as an introduction to Hârn and to Jedes and Asolade Hundred. While it is not essential to have a copy of the Jedes article to play this scenario, it would be helpful.
Also included are the Asolade Adventurers, six pre-generated characters for use in the scenario. Character sheets and background information is provided for these individuals. The characters are provided to allow newcomers to Hârn to run a quick start adventure, and to enable use of the scenario at a convention.

Jedes is the largest settlement in Asolade Hundred. Consisting of 49 households, plus the imposing keep, Jedes lies in the south western edge of Oselshire. This article details all of the households. The 30 page article includes interior plans of the keep and its’ outbuildings, the inn, and the local Peonian temple; plus illustrations by Richard Luschek and Juha Makkonen. There is a companion adventure called A Shower of Silver which is suitable for use as a convention game or as an introduction to gaming in HârnWorld.
