While googling one day, I stumbled upon a PBF game that our very own Todd Neal (aka tdn here) ran of "Field of Daisies" in April of 2009.

The players: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/sho ... p=11083653
The thread: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/sho ... p?t=513978

Like many of the writers of canon or fanon here, I enjoy getting feedback about the stuff I write and hearing about how it played out among various groups. Since I wrote Field of Daisies (with a lot of top quality help) I got a kick out of seeing this PBF game.

Hopefully Todd will one day GM a PBF game of Dead Weight! :D

Hi Dan,

I got your e-mail. Yeah, that was fun to GM. I also ran it live with a couple of friends who were in from out of town a couple of years ago. I was working from a final draft, and the actual product arrived on my doorstep an hour before my friends did.

I first play tested it with John S as the GM. I think it was a very early draft. There was no map yet, so he used some recycled DnD map. It was much more linear and built rather than natural. And there were ghosts. And lumberjacks, I think. I think that the only similarity to the final product was that there was a lost kid.

Hi Todd,
Thanks for the background. Hope you can GM Dead Weight sometime.

Regards, Dan

Very nice indeed--I really liked the setup of this game. I am really torn between running this one and the one I already am set to run, the one set in the Laranian Abbey. Ah well!
