So, the question is specifically directed at Scandinavian members of the forum, but I'll take any good link/answer.

Specifically I'm looking for maps depicting Scandinavia and the Baltic shore in the 900's to 1300's timeframe. I know we're all connected to the same interwebs, but there may be non-English sources and there might be library references or encyclopedia articles or something that I just won't find via google. (Which is not apparently capable of distinguishing medieval map=read 16th century map from "Map of Medieval ___").

The level I'm looking for actually depicts towns beyond capitals. Bishoprics would be super awesome. Of course, a layered PDF with Kelestia-level of detail...

I imagine that there are probably some books in German or Nordic publication that have this level of detail. If anyone can point me to them or a good electronic source for maps of this calibre, I'd be very grateful.

I guess I should also add that language isn't a problem. I'll take it in Polish or Esperanto as long as it has the detail I want.

This is a bit late for you, being from 1493, but shows most of the southern coast of Baltic Sea.

Period maps, or modern historical maps?

For period maps, 900 to 1300 is very hard, because we have very few, and they're horribly inaccurate.

For historical maps, I'd look rather for good books than the interweb. Germans especially have produced very nice maps and historical map books.

But early/high medieval Scandinavia was a periphery, with very few permanent big places. North of the Trondheim-Stockholm-Turku (Åbo)-Viborg-line, it was (and still is) mostly forested wilderness. Little to map, really. :)

Well, the map at the end of the link provided was pretty cool, but I'm more interested in modern historical maps depicting that period. It's funny, but your response jogged my brain for a different approach towards search terms and I got some decent hits.
