I did a Middle Earth Fourth Age game using HarnMaster a few years ago. Does anyone know where I could/should post that here?

It's using HM so I don't think alternate realities is appropriate?

Moved to the appropriate area. :D

Most Middle earth topics land here along with other settings. Don't worry about the fact your using HM rule set... questions about HM rules are covered in different forums.

Thank you. I'll start posting it here as I have time over the next little while.

Now I won't gloss over this ... the game was heroic the baddies were pretty heroic in a baddie sense as a result. It worked ... but everyone's traction will be a little different. Looking at it now that I'm back into playing Core HM3 it looks a little overpowered ... but it's Lord of the Rings! 8)

More to come ... I sent most of my final versions home and they're in some safe place on my computer ... still looking.

I've struggled somewhat with fitting the idea of trolls turning to stone in sunlight.

Theologically it fits well with middle Earth in that a Maiar is/powers/whatever the sun. The sun was introduced into the world there as a weapon against evil and it has great effects against evil - especially some of Morgoths creatures from before the Sun.

However, a creature that turns to stone in sunlight is a major leap to a being from another world that also has evil creatures and a Sun that seems very similar but nothing like that going on.

OTOH vampires turning to dust in sunlight fits in both worlds but in Middle Earth it would seem like for reasons related to the holyness of the Sun - where the Sun isn't especially considered that way in Harn.

Also it seems a little different with the full moon being related to Peoni and Seim and the Dark of the moon to evil. Werewolves etc...
