In 2008, CGI released a number of titles:

    * Cats
    * Snakes
    * Uthriem Roliri
    * Sorkin Mountains
    * Potions
    * Herblore
    * Field of Daisies
    * Grave-wights
    * Inns of Harn
    * Tavern Games
    (382 downloads in a week!)

Also, electronic versions of many current products were posted to DriveThruRPG - last I saw there were 28 of them up there.

I seem to have missed Tavern Games. Where can I find it?

Cheers,

Honestly, I was not interested in any of the published works. I would have bought Rethem in a heartbeat though. Why CGI insists on printing short little articles with very limited use when there are a number of big projects that need to be done is beyond me.

It's a matter of perspective, of course. Almost all of those short little articles were very useful to my campaign. While I am looking forward to seeing it released, Rethem isn't likely to get much use from me. I've got the existing version and the flavor is all wrong for both me and my players. I don't expect that the next version will be substantially different on that count, but I'll get it anyway. I scavenge bits and pieces that I like from nearly everything and ignore the stuff that doesn't interest me.

One good thing about this year is that it introduced a lot of new material, not just reworked versions of previous releases (speaking of which, Aleath was re-released this year, too). That was a complaint raised by a number of folks a few years ago. I'm glad the smaller articles don't get held up by the massive projects like Rethem.

Krazma hints at an important point: The small articles are models for additional fanon small articles.
For example, if you liked Sorkin Mountains, write a fanon Setha Heath or Hefiosa Highlands.
If you liked Uthriem Roliri, then write a fanon Rydequellyn or Silken Veil or Cohorts of Gashang!
Did you enjoy Inns of Harn? Develop a few to share! If you didn't like them, well you can show us all how it should be done...
Here's a New Year's resolution: Create a dozen new Potions to share with the community!

I'm with Krazma on this. The small articles are very useful and a nice addition to the existing canon. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to get new stuff on Rethem.

And to the original topic: Yes, 2008 was a productive year. I got my Inns on the last day of the year. That makes four HQ in one year. Although HQ was ment to be a quarterly issue, it is the first time CG actually achieved that. Well done. I hope they will continue with this fast production. :wink:

Came across this thread and I was curious whether 2009 and 2010 was just as productive or better than 2008.

I've been out of the Harn loop for a few years...

Well, let's see...

Mamaka Master of Steel
Warriors of Mamaka
Peran
Tribes of the Kubora (Kubora Expansion)
Afarezirs
Tawedog
Drunken Hake Inn
Hunting
Seals
Bedenes
Irreproachable Order
Birds
Atlas Map J4
Atlas Map C6
Dead Weight

Additionally, there were a large number of re-releases, with new maps, layout, etc.

Tormau
Ithiko
Hyen
Shostim
Arcane Lore
Godstones
Guilds
Law
Lia-Kavair
Real Estate
Astrology
Earthmasters
Pamesani
Heraldry
Houshold

By my estimation, that's been pretty productive. And, of course the big one is the imminent release of Rethem.

It's been a pretty good couple of years for fanon releases too. If you haven't already done so, check out Lythia.com downloads. Also, KP has been busy with major releases like Venarive and Ledenheim.
