Nice, and not so far from home. I may have to check that out just for the heck of it.

Innnnnnteresting! Anybody have anything more to tell me about this? Sir, I'm detecting a source of adventurine!

I wish I had, but somehow it seems to ring a distant bell. I've heard of this before, although I can't remember where and when.
Maybe ask D-man? He seems to be the best source for stuff like this on the forum.

Most definitely so!
Protecting the Nistarim from evil pursuers without letting them realise what they are (or something similar) is an interesting task for a group of players.

Been a while since I posted a link, but here's one that I use to help myself lose weight:

You can track your activities and calorie intake quite easily. I'm down to 191.5 lbs, so I'm pleased. :)

Dearest bene-coves and roberds-men! Here be a Canting Dictionary so that you coves aren't bit and your anticks don't run into contre-temps when you take the culls in! You don't want to be wearing those barnacles and clinkers or be hood wink'd, hacked and hued by the hamlet's curst culls, do you!?

(Or something like that.)

Inspiration for Halea?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24386702/

I've long wondered if Sappho was the root of the Halean part of the pantheon. Here she is in the news for those who want to know more.

Heh, those Lesbians (Lesbosians?) seem pretty determined. :)

I fail to see any connections with Sapphos sensual language and the picture the sources give of Hâlea. But adding female-female love as a major idea in the religion/cult of Hâlea could result in some very interesting societal patterns. If females loving females are in charge of the temple economy, and of the economy-goddess, Shiran-based great clans of Tharda would probably have a very distinct character.

Thanks for this idea, John. :)

I've always (as I've said previously) favoured an indian option for Halea. Check out this site for what (I think) is the only X rated UNESCO world heritage site.

Ooh, I went there. It was hot. 8)

And John is right in a way, one can see parallels between Sapho and the first Haléan prophetess at the origin of the modern cult (her name alas escapes me right now).
