Hello Everyone,

I've been playing a PBeM [Play By Email) now for over a year called 'Kaldor In Flames'. It is run by Dennis Duttond, who has contributed quite a bit of Fanon to Harn. The game has been ongoing for several years now. So this is not a PBeM that will go the way of the dodo any time soon.

Unfortunately as time has worn on the numbers have dropped. Thus, this is an advertisement to see some new blood infused into the game. Dennis is currently running two campaigns. The original and a fresh one (using HMIII rules). Both provide ample opportunity to RP in a rich world crafted by a great GM.

Below is a link to a pdf advertisement he threw together to give you a brief overview of the games (as well as links on where to apply). If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Otherwise go on and create a character!

I posted a link to this PBeM on the Harshlands link page for those interested in getting into this sort of game.

Thanks Blackhorde. I was meaning to send you an email or post on the forums about it. A little cross game pollination never hurt anyone. :> Especially since I'm a fan and player of both the mud and pbem.

I signed up as well.

How long can we expect before we know our application has been received? I was having trouble with the online application process.

It should take about a day for the GM (Dennis) to respond. He doesn't have internet access at home so that's why it can take a bit. When was it that you applied bocharuk? If it's been longer then that I can follow up and see if he received anything. Feel free to PM me with the details.

Hey Folks,

I thought I'd reply to my old post to bump this topic. We're again looking for new players. I don't really have much new to offer. The game is going great, and has been ongoing for years now (I've been playing for 2 years). Very easy to fit right into the game and we're definitely a welcoming group to new comers.

The old link to the advertisement is here:
http://www.duttond.topcities.com/Harn/K ... Flames.pdf

And here is the application forms (for the 2 different games) if you're interested:
http://www.duttond.topcities.com/Harn/application.html
http://www.duttond.topcities.com/Harn/K ... ation.html

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or reply here!

Looks like I need to dip again into the community here. We've lost the couple of new players that came on. My only feeling is that the game is slow going .. it is a PBeM after all and people aren't prepared for that.

However, I should point out Dennis (the GM) is very meticulous when it comes to playing by Harn rules. It really gets you immeresed in the game and is a great chance to do a bit of RP. If anyones interested, check out the links posted above and apply .. apply .. apply!

Well it's been two years since I posted this and we've lost some players over time. Both games are now looking for new blood. So there are plenty of openings. As I said above this game is run by one of the most dedicated GM's both in terms of commitment to (a) the game over past several years (I would venture to say nearing on a decade) and (b) also his love and deep knowledge of Harn.

If anyone is interested feel free to apply to the games. If you're having trouble or just have inquires reply here (or pm me) and I'll be glad to help.

Does anyone know if this campaign is still going or definitely dead?

I'm asking because I read through the logs in the webpage (Encounters) and it sounded like something I would have quite liked to play, but the site hasn't been updated for many months, so everything indicates it's no longer going.

If anyone knows anything about it, I would very much appreciate the information, many thanks!

Well it's almost a year since I posted and the two Play by Email Guys are still going strong!

We're opening the doors to look for new players (or old ones that want to come back!). The links in the original post by me still work or you can contact the GM (Dennis Dutton) directly about applying. His email is dennisdutton@yahoo.com.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or reply here!

Hello Everyone,

I've been playing a PBeM [Play By Email) now for 6+ years called 'Kaldor In Flames'. It is run by Dennis Dutton, someone who has contributed quite a bit of Fanon to Harn. He's running two seperate campaigns. Originally one had run for more then a decade before he decided to reset it about a year ago. Another has about 2-3 years under it's belt. Both stalled as Dennis dealt with a major illness, however, he's rebounded back and is ready to go! We just need more players as we lost a few while he recovered.

The two games are using HMIII rules. Each provide ample opportunity to RP in a rich world crafted by a great GM who is a stickler for detail.

If you're interested I'd recommend emailing him directly. Feel free to send me a PM and I'll forward you the address rather then posting it publicly here.

Any chance that you are still seeking new players for the PBeM?
