I'm planning on running the Bifyrd-Freon adventures (first one at least) as a sidetrek for the PC knights accompanying Earl Caldeth on his Progress.
After all said and done, with Lumin hung and Caldeth generally ticked about the whole affair, I was looking to give the manors to the PCs. I'm using the justification that Caldeth wants a strong knight looking after his interests in the region, and the clan has both betrayed it's honor (well, Lumin has) and has no strong candidate readily available. The Earl's champion would wed Myrel and assume the manors. The only one in position to complain is Corik, a 22 year old LOP knight. But I'm assuming it is a big deal to disinherit a clan, and it would look bad for Caldeth to some extent as well.
Does this sound feasible/reasonable? Would it make more sense to bump off Corik in a tourney accident prior to events (or something more unseemly, if Quinilla informed him of her doubts on Lumin's parentage)?
