Friends, Foes, and Followers — Part 6
January 20, 2008
Friends, Foes, and Followers is a GM resource that uses a common format for presenting 2 pages of information about a character. The characters can be used in any way the GM sees fit; as NPC opponents, helpers or even emergence PCs for that unexpected player, making these resources no GM should be without. This file includes nine characters inspired by the Sci-Fi series “Firefly” transposed into the world of Harn as seagoing folk instead of spacefaring folk. Their ship is a 64 foot dak, the ‘Lorkin’ (qv), a medieval type of ship known to us as a cog. Despite its connections to FFF6, it can be used seperately for any seaborne adventures. There are also two files where the individual characters are used as a group, ACOC3 (by Andy Gibson, Ken Snellings, and Kerry Mould) is the crew and passengers of the Lorkin. FFF6 also includes three characters inspired by Bernard Knight’s series “Crowner John“and ACOC4 (by Kerry Mould) group these into the Agents of the Crown. Illustrated by Juha Makkonen, the file contains the following characters:
- a cleric of Peoni,
- a cleric of Siem,
- a courtesan,
- a physician,
- a pilot,
- a shipwright,
- a guildsman’s offspring,
- a yeoman LF (light foot),
- a guardsman MF (medium foot)
- a yeoman SB (short bow)
